SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is sassa status check to reach-out to the significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to SRD access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
